Terms of use
The Room View is a small independent site. These terms are written in plain English — no dark patterns, no hidden clauses.
This page is a working draft. Every section below was newly written during the Stage 3 redesign; none has been reviewed by a lawyer. The page is staging-only and search-engine-blocked until Aki approves the final wording.
Using the site
You're welcome to browse, read, and share links to any page. Photos and full details on room pages unlock automatically after you contribute a room of your own — one contribution, permanent access on any device, no password.
What you contribute
- Photographs. By uploading a photo you confirm that you took it, or you have the right to share it. You keep ownership; you give us a licence to display it on The Room View and in related contexts (e.g. social previews of your room page).
- Notes and descriptions. Your text is your own. AI polishes it into readable prose but never adds facts you didn't provide. You review and approve every published description.
- Accuracy. We ask you to describe what you saw honestly. Room layouts, view angles and what's outside the window can change; the site is a reference, not a booking guarantee.
What you shouldn't do
- Submit content you don't have the right to share.
- Submit fake or misleading contributions — the community depends on trust in the room-by-room accuracy.
- Scrape the site to rebuild it elsewhere. Individual sharing is welcome; wholesale copying is not.
What we can and can't guarantee
The Room View is a community reference. Every effort is made to display accurate, verified information, but hotels change rooms, renovate, close for maintenance, and reassign categories. Confirm any specific room with the hotel in writing before you rely on it for a booking. We are not a booking agent and take no commissions from hotels.
Corrections and removals

Changes to these terms
If we materially change these terms, we'll say so on this page and, for contributors, by email. Continued use of the site after such a change means you accept the update.
